As exclusive leasing representative for Barnes & Noble in Manhattan, RKF was asked to create a strategy for the disposition of current store locations and future expansion opportunities. RKF analyzed Barnes & Noble’s lease for their existing flagship on Fifth Avenue relative to expiration and devised a relocation strategy. RKF executed the bookstore’s relocation to a new location on Fifth Avenue that offered more favorable long-term economics. RKF also advised Barnes & Noble on the expansion of its operations into Union Square, Lower Manhattan and the Upper East Side.
