For several years RKF worked with the development team to create an exciting new retail destination in Forest Hills, Queens. The first obstacle was to identify a merchandising mix for the 66,000 square feet that would comply with the property’s zoning restrictions, and then to identify specific retailers absent from the market. Relying on in-depth analysis of trade area demographics, RKF recommended subdividing the space to accommodate multiple retailers.
Our marketing efforts were successful in securing Trader Joe’s, Michaels, Sleepy’s and Staples as tenants. These retailers have had a positive impact on the market.
