Robert K. Futterman is the founder, chairman and chief executive officer of RKF. With more than 25 years of retail real estate experience, Mr. Futterman has personally completed transactions totaling more than $3 billion. He is known for his unparalleled experience in landlord and tenant representation, new construction, leasing, investment sales and market analysis.

Throughout his distinguished career, he has been a leader in revitalizing several of New York’s most significant retail locations, including the renaissance of New York’s Union Square South, Times Square, 34th Street and SoHo. Mr. Futterman also served as an advisor to the Port Authority of NY & NJ for the World Trade Center redevelopment.

Mr. Futterman’s list of prestigious retail clients includes many of the nation’s premier retailers, including: Adidas, Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, Circuit City, Apple Computer, Forever 21, Virgin Megastores, Barnes & Noble, Polo Ralph Lauren, Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Bed Bath & Beyond, Design Within Reach and Custo Barcelona.

He has also worked with an equally impressive list of owners, developers and investors, including The Related Companies, L.P.; Milstein Properties; Extell Development Company; Hines; Vornado Realty Trust; Taconic Investment Partners, RFR Realty, Inc.; Forest City Ratner; and Reckson.

Prior to founding RKF in 1998, Mr. Futterman spent 15 years as the top producer for Garrick-Aug Associates where he represented some of metropolitan New York’s most esteemed retail tenants and landlords.

A noted writer and lecturer on retail real estate Mr. Futterman is a member of the Urban Land Institute, the Retail Real Estate Board of New York, the International Council of Shopping Centers, the New Leadership Cabinet of Israel Bonds Real Estate Division and the United Jewish Appeal.
