With more than 25 years of real estate experience, Mr. Rosenberg together with Executive Vice President Barry Fishbach, oversee retail leasing and investment sales in the five boroughs and the Greater New York Metropolitan area. Mr. Rosenberg has represented many of the nation’s premier tenants including Gap, Inc., The TJX Companies, Bed Bath & Beyond, Nine West, RadioShack, Burger King, Citibank, McDonald’s, CVS/pharmacy, Walgreens, Macy’s, M•A•C Cosmetics, Genovese/Eckerd Drugs, Charles Schwab & Co., Sprint PCS, Aerosoles, Design Within Reach, Circuit City, and BJ’s Wholesale Club.
He also exclusively represents The Children’s Place, 24 Hour Fitness, Zales, Ultimate Electronics, Trader Joe’s, FedEx Office, PetSmart, Urban Outfitters, Oakley, New York & Company, and Sports Authority.
Mr. Rosenberg joined RKF in 1998 and has been responsible for some of the most significant retail transactions in the Outer Boroughs and Long Island. His accomplishments include the $25.5 million sale of the former Caldor department store located at Fordham Road and Grand Concourse in the Bronx and subsequent leasing to Bally Total Fitness, P.C. Richard & Son, and The Children’s Place; the $15 million sale of the 45,000-square-foot former Woolworth building on Fulton Street in Downtown Brooklyn on behalf of Federated Department Stores; the leasing of 50,000 square feet of retail space at the corner of Main Street and Roosevelt Avenue in Flushing, Queens to Old Navy; the leasing of Gateway Center, a 640,000-square-foot, one-of-a-kind shopping center, developed in Brooklyn by The Related Companies and Blackacre Capital Management; the $10 million sale of a 30,000-square-foot development site at 125th Street and Lenox Avenue in Harlem; the leasing of 3081 Jericho Turnpike in Commack to Circuit City; the leasing of a former Stop & Shop supermarket in New Hyde Park to Old Navy, the leasing of 30,000 square feet to Bed Bath & Beyond at Bay Harbor Mall in Woodmere, NY; and the leasing of 35,000 square feet to Circuit City at 502 86th Street in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn. Most recently, Mr. Rosenberg and Mr. Fishbach completed the leasing of 90-30 Metropolitan Avenue in Forest Hills, Queens to Trader Joe’s, Michaels and Staples.
Mr. Rosenberg is currently marketing The Shops at Gateway, a 305,000-square-foot, two-level shopping center located in Brooklyn; Flushing Commons, a 1.7 million square foot mixed-use project in downtown Flushing, Queens; and Armonk Square, a 30,000 square foot mixed-use project set in a town square environment in Armonk, New York.
Prior to joining RKF, Mr. Rosenberg was a director at Garrick-Aug Associates for 13 years. He is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
