Secures 3 new assignments in the Northeast

NEW YORK, NY — RKF Retail Property Advisors (RKF), a division of Robert K. Futterman & Associates specializing in leasing and consulting for retail and lifestyle retail projects, has secured three new lifestyle center assignments in the Northeast United States – Towne Place at Garden State Park in Cherry Hill, NJ; Potomac Town Center in Woodbridge, VA, and Westwood Station in Westwood, MA.

Town Place at Garden State Park is a new mixed-use project being developed by Edgewood Properties on the 223-acre site of the former Garden State Park racetrack in Cherry Hill, NJ. RKF is the exclusive retail leasing consultant for 250,000 sq. ft. of lifestyle retail space, which is only a small portion of this project. Other features include a 500,000-square-foot retail power center, 360 townhouses, 691 luxury apartment units, 608 active adult residential units, one million square feet of office space and a 200-key hotel. Garden State Park is a regionally branded destination that provides convenient accessibility and high visibility for retailers within the prestigious South New Jersey market. The project is bounded on the west by the NJ Transit Atlantic City Line, on the south by Route 70, on the east by Haddonfield Road and on the north by Chapel Avenue.

With RKF already working with The Mills Corporation on its Xanadu project in East Rutherford, NJ, the national mall developer hired RKF as a retail leasing consultant for its mixed-use Potomac Town Center, located in Woodbridge, VA. Potomac Town Center features 650,000 square feet of high-end retail and fine dining, 150,000 square feet of office space, 500 garden-style and above-retail residential units and a hotel. This prestigious lifestyle center will serve as a central hub for residents and the 18 million annual visitors to the Washington, DC/North Virginia metropolitan area. The project is located off of Interstate 95 between Opitz Road and Dale Boulevard where 400,000 cars per day pass the site.

A joint venture of Cabot, Cabot & Forbes, the Commonfund, and New England Development has hired RKF Retail Property Advisors as exclusive retail leasing consultant for Westwood Station. When complete, this new mixed-use development will feature 1.2 million square feet of retail space, 1000 residential units, 2 million square feet of office space and two hotels. RKF, a recognized leader in retail real estate brokerage and advisory services, will assist with the leasing of the upscale lifestyle portion of the project, consisting of approximately 400,000 square feet. The project is situated at the intersection of Route 128 and Interstate 95 in the prestigious Boston suburb of Westwood, MA.

The addition of these new assignments brings to seven the number of projects for which RKF has been hired since the formation of the division 18 months ago. Headed by Mitchell N. Friedel, Executive Vice President, RKF Retail Property Advisors is currently involved with developments totaling more than 4.5 million square feet in locations throughout the United States.

“We are happy to be affiliated with such prominent developers and to be working on such significant projects, each of which is the preeminent site in its respective market,” said Friedel.

Other assignments on which RKF is currently working include:

- Bloomfield Park, Bloomfield Hills, MI, a $1 billion, mixed-use project that will feature 500,000 square feet of upscale retail shops, up to 10 restaurants, 1,200 residential units, a 250-room luxury hotel, 1 million square feet of office and medical space and a variety of entertainment and recreation offerings.
