RKF Secures Two New Store Locations for Swatch in Manhattan and Las Vegas
11/18/2005

NEW YORK, NY — Robert K. Futterman & Associates, LLC (RKF), the nation's leading independent real estate firm specializing in retail leasing and investment sales and the national retail leasing representative for The Swatch Group (US), Inc. has completed leases for two new Swatch locations in Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan and The Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas.

The 341-square-foot store in Grand Central Terminal is in heart of Midtown Manhattan and opened in the summer of 2005. Swatch was represented by RKF's Robert Cohen, Executive Vice President, while landlord Metropolitan Transit Authority was represented by RKF's Karen Bellantoni, Senior Managing Director. Neighboring tenants include Banana Republic, Aveda, Origins, Kenneth Cole and Forever Silver.

The second location, a 1,000-square-foot store, opened in June 2005 in the Forum Shops at Caesar Palace in Las Vegas. Swatch joins 170 other stores in the well-known and heavily-trafficked Forum Shops, an extraordinary collection of exquisite stores, restaurants and family entertainment set in an ancient Roman marketplace. Cohen represented the watch retailer in this transaction as well.

"The success of these two new locations is indicative of our commitment to placing Swatch in the some of the most sought-after retail locations nationwide," said Cohen. "Our extensive research capabilities, coupled with our comprehensive knowledge of both national and local retail markets, enable us to strategically support The Swatch Group's expansion plans and business objectives."

RKF has also secured space for The Swatch Groups luxury Omega and Breguet watch lines.

The world's largest manufacturer and distributor of finished watches, The Swatch Group, owns 18 major watch brands and employs more than 20,000 persons in over 50 countries. The company began opening its own stores in 1997 and recently opened its 44th Swatch store in the United States with more than 600 worldwide.

The country's leading independent real estate firm specializing in retail leasing and investment sales, New York-based Robert K. Futterman & Associates (RKF) serves a broad spectrum of domestic and global clients in services ranging from national tenant and owner representation to advisory, consulting and disposition.
