Retail center set for expansion, complete renovation
NEW YORK, NY — Robert K. Futterman & Associates, LLC (RKF), the nation’s leading independent real estate firm specializing in retail leasing and investment sales, has been selected by Dollar Land Syndicate as exclusive retail leasing agent for Cross County Shopping Center in Yonkers, N.Y.
Robert K. Futterman, chairman and CEO, David Rosenberg, executive vice president, and Diana Chace, director, with RKF will oversee retail leasing at the open-air shopping center. Cross County, located at the intersection of the Cross County Parkway and I-87, currently encompasses 1.2 million square feet of space. Dollar Land Syndicate plans to add an additional 200,000 square feet of space in conjunction with a complete renovation of the 40-plus-year-old property.
“Cross County has been an extremely successful project given its strategic location in the market,” said Rosenberg. “It sits at the intersection of two major highways, with 950,000 people living within five miles of the center. When the extensive renovation and repositioning is complete, Cross County will attract even more shoppers from the surrounding area.”
Ownership is expected to redesign and improve the exterior spaces, landscaping and signage, in addition to incorporating additional parking into its plan. Currently, there are a variety of leasing opportunities.
The current anchor retailers at Cross County Shopping Center include Sears, Macy’s and a Stop & Shop supermarket.
