RKF Secures Lease Renewal with Seaman's in Bronx
04/28/2005

NEW YORK, NY — Robert K. Futterman & Associates, LLC (RKF), the nation’s leading independent real estate firm specializing in retail leasing and investment sales, has completed a lease renewal with Seaman's Furniture Co. Inc. at 2480 Grand Concourse in the Bronx. The furniture retailer leased 18,364 square feet at the 100,000-square-foot Wagner building.

Barry Fishbach and David Rosenberg, executive vice presidents, with RKF represented building owner 2488 Grand Concourse Realty Corp. in the transaction. The furniture retailer has operated a store at 2480 Grand Concourse, located at Fordham Road and Grand Concourse, for the past 20 years. Staples will occupy the portion of the retail space being vacated by Seaman’s.

“This is a prime site in the Bronx that is across the street from other national retailers such as AJ Wright, P.C. Richard, Bally Total Fitness and Childrens Place,” said Fishbach. “Seaman’s chose to remain at 2480 Grand Concourse to continue to tap the strength of the Fordham Road market. More than 220,000 people live within one mile of 2480 Grand Concourse, and 680,000 people live within two miles of the site.”

Seaman Furniture Company Inc. was founded in 1933 in Brooklyn. The company is a prominent force in the retail furniture industry serving the northeast United States.
