Chic hair salon renews lease on space at Sixth Avenue and 46th Street
NEW YORK, NY — Robert K. Futterman & Associates, LLC (RKF), the nation’s leading independent real estate firm specializing in retail leasing and investment sales, has completed a renewal for Jean Louis David at 1180 Avenue of the Americas. The chic hair and beauty salon has renewed its lease for 2,850 square feet on the ground floor of the building.
Ariel Schuster, managing director, and Richard Gelber, associate director, with RKF represented the tenant in the transaction. William Korchak of Jones Lang LaSalle represented the landlord.
“Jean Louis David was eager to renew its lease at 46th Street and Sixth Avenue as the neighboring retailers and existing customer base has proved to be a perfect match for the growing salon,” said Schuster.
The 1180 Sixth Avenue building is located directly next to Casual Corner and in close proximity to Anne Taylor, Easy Spirit, the Gap and Nine West.
The renewal of the lease is part of Jean Louis David’s five-year expansion plan. RKF has a history of working transactions for Regis Corp., the salon’s parent company, securing spaces for Jean Louis David at 30 Vesey Street, 37 E. Eighth Street and 804 Second Avenue. RKF has also completed leases for Supercuts at 29-31 Saint Mark’s Place in the East Village and at Century Tower Apartments, 1730 First Ave.
RKF is currently looking for additional sites for Jean Louis David salons throughout Manhattan, primarily focusing on the Upper West Side.
