RKF Secures Multiple Retailers at Wayne Towne Center

New Leases to National Retailers Total 111,000 Square Feet

NEW YORK, NY — Robert K. Futterman & Associates, LLC (RKF), the nation’s leading independent real estate firm specializing in retail leasing, investment sales and consulting services, has arranged six leases totaling 111,000 square feet at Wayne Towne Center in Wayne, NJ. To date, leases have been signed with Dick’s Sporting Goods, DSW, Chipotle, Olive Garden, Bahama Breeze and Fresh City.

RKF Executive Vice President Barry Fishbach, Managing Director Jerry Rockoff and Associate Amy Staats are exclusive leasing agents of Wayne Towne Center on behalf of Wayne Towne Center Associates, LLC. The leasing team is in the process of marketing the remaining 84,776 square feet of available retail space at the property, and is currently in lease negotiations with several leading national retailers to lease space at the property. Ownership is redeveloping and repositioning the 700,000-square-foot shopping center. The first phase of construction is underway with occupancy slated for mid-2008.

The six new leases RKF arranged include 70,000 square feet for sports retailer Dick’s; 19,000 square feet for shoe retailer DSW; 2,500 square feet for Mexican grill Chipotle; 7,700 square feet for family-style restaurant Olive Garden; 7,300 square feet for island-style restaurant Bahama Breeze; and 4,500 square feet for restaurant Fresh City.

Wayne Towne Center, is situated at the intersection of three highly traveled New Jersey highways – Route 80, Route 46 and Route 23. A 200,000-square-foot Fortunoff store and a 225,000-square-foot JCPenney anchor the property, and are among the top-producing stores in the chain, drawing customers from more than 20 miles away.

Adjacent to Wayne Towne Center is the popular Willowbrook Mall anchored by Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s, Lord & Taylor, Sears and The Cheesecake Factory, with 187 in-line stores. An additional one million square feet of retail bordering Wayne Towne Center includes a Costco, Sports Authority and Loews Theater.

Wayne is the second largest retail market in New Jersey, with an average household income of $98,316 (within a five mile radius of the site), which is anticipated to grow to $117,271 over the next five years.
