NEW YORK, NY — Robert K. Futterman & Associates, LLC (RKF), the nation’s leading independent real estate firm specializing in retail leasing, investment sales, and consulting services announces the promotion of Karen Bellantoni to Executive Vice President and partner of RKF.
Formerly a senior vice president, Ms. Bellantoni has been with RKF since 1999. She is considered one of the leading retail leasing professionals in the New York Metro area, with more than 25 years of experience in retail, retail leasing and merchandising. Her current specialty is tenant and landlord representation in Manhattan and most major markets throughout the United States, with primary focus on luxury and aspirational retail clients and properties.

Ms. Bellantoni represents an impressive list of retailers including Solstice Sunglass Boutique, Zales Corporation, Intermix, Apple, Bose, LeSportsac, Leiber, Elie Tahari and J.Crew to name a few. She has secured more than 40 national locations for Solstice Sunglass Boutique and 12 New York City locations for Zales Corporation. Among the many Intermix transactions she arranged include the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, NV; Town Center at Boca Raton, FL; NorthPark in Dallas, TX; the Americana Manhasset in Long Island, NY; The Domain in Austin, TX; Rush Street, Damen Avenue and Armitage Street in Chicago, IL; South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, CA; Robertson Boulevard in Los Angeles, CA; and Main Street in East Hampton, NY.
Ms. Bellantoni also secured two new Manhattan flagship locations for Apple, a new location for J.Crew Collection on Madison Avenue and its Madewell brand in SoHo, two locations for Bose Corp. in the Time Warner Center and at 40 Mercer Street in SoHo, and flagships for Build-A-Bear Workshop on Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue and M & M’s World in Times Square.
Ms. Bellantoni represents an equally few impressive list of institutional and entrepreneurial property owners. Among them are Taconic Investment Partners; Hines; RFR Realty, LLC; The Related Companies; Sitt Asset Management; The Carlyle Group; and The Metropolitan Transportation Authority. She is currently marketing 222,000 square feet of space for property owners including 414 West 14th Street, 459 West 14th Street , 350 West Broadway and Chelsea Market.
Prior to joining RKF in 1999, Ms. Bellantoni was a retail director at Corporate Property Investors (CPI, now known as Simon Property Group) where she was responsible for all leasing activities for new retailers in CPI centers; such as Walt Whitman Mall in Huntington, NY, Nanuet Mall in Nyack, NY, and Burlington Mall in Burlington, MA.
She is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, and the Real Estate Board of New York (and is on its Store’s Committee). Ms. Bellantoni holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Ohio University.
