Clothing Retailer to Occupy 1,200 sf in Meatpacking District
New York, NY – Robert K. Futterman & Associates (RKF), the nation’s leading independent real estate firm specializing in retail leasing, investment sales and consulting services, is pleased to announce that men's and women's clothing retailer Generra will open its first freestanding store at 823 Washington Street in New York City's Meatpacking District.
Executive Vice President Karen Bellantoni and Associate Stefany Di Manno represented Generra in the transaction. The landlord, Romanoff Equities, was represented by Daryl Romanoff.
Generra will occupy 1,200 square feet of space at 823 Washington Street. The store, which will open in Fall 2009, is being designed by Thomas Juul-Hansen, who is known for his clean, modern and luxurious interiors and has been involved with Generra since the brand’s inception, having designed its New York showroom.
"This is the ideal location for the effortlessly chic clothing brand to make its debut," noted Bellantoni. "The opening of The Standard Hotel and the addition of new retailers including Vince, Tory Burch and Zadig & Voltiare, Washington Street has evolved into one of the City's hottest destinations for retail."
Generra will join an impressive roster of the world's most recognized names in luxury, aspirational and lifestyle retail, as well as exclusive dining and nightlife venues. Tenants synonymous with the Meatpacking District include Diane von Furstenberg, Apple, Jeffrey, Stella McCartney, Hugo Boss, Scoop, Moschino, Theory, Alexander McQueen, Pastis, Buddakan and Spice Market.
