NEW YORK —RKF, the country’s leading independent real estate firm specializing in retail leasing, investment sales and consulting services, announced today that it has arranged a 4,596-square-foot lease with Ichiran, the tonkotsu ramen chain with 60 locations in Japan, for its first restaurant in Manhattan, at 31 Penn Plaza, located at 132 West 31st Street. Joining its Brooklyn restaurant, this will be Ichiran’s second location in the U.S. and will open in winter 2017.
RKF Managing Director David Abrams and Associate Carly Geller represented the landlord, Vanbarton Group. Ichiran was represented by Newmark Grubb Knight Frank’s Hymie Dweck and Tatsuru Kono.
Ichiran’s space features 2,796 square feet on the ground floor, 900 square feet on the mezzanine level and 900 square feet in the lower level, as well as 20 feet of frontage on West 31st Street. 31 Penn Plaza is an 18-story, 440,000-square-foot office building featuring a brand new entrance, enhanced signage and façade uplighting, a dramatically redesigned lobby and stylishly designed elevator cabs. 31 Penn Plaza is home to architecture firms, media agencies and engineering companies.
Situated on the south block between Sixth Avenue and Seventh Avenue, 31 Penn Plaza is just steps from Madison Square Garden, New York’s Penn Station and Herald Square, and minutes from Grand Central Station.
