Largest U.S. Apparel Brand Ever Built Online to Open ‘Guideshop’ location
at 173 Court Street in Cobble Hill
NEW YORK —RKF, the country’s leading independent real estate firm specializing in retail leasing, investment sales and consulting services, announced today that it has arranged a 2,500-square-foot lease for Bonobos, the largest apparel brand ever built online in the United States, known for providing better-fitting men’s clothing paired with exceptional customer service. The location will open in July at 173 Court Street in Cobble Hill.
RKF Senior Associate Justin Fantasia represented Bonobos in the transaction, while RKF Senior Director Ike Bibi represented the landlord, Industrie Capital Partners.
The retail space consists of 1,700 square feet on the ground floor and 800 square feet in the lower level of a four-story brick townhouse situated on the east block between Bergen and Dean Streets in the vibrant Cobble Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn. This heavily-trafficked and desirable shopping destination is at the convergence of the borough’s most affluent neighborhoods. Area retailers include rag & bone, Splendid, Moscot, lululemon athletica, Free People, Sephora, Urban Outfitters, Barneys New York and Benefit, among others.
“We are thrilled to announce Bonobos first foray into Brooklyn where they will be opening their 40th Guideshop location this summer,” said Fantasia. “The brand’s use of physical retail locations to provide customers with the ability to touch, feel and purchase —without being burdened by the hassles of traditional retail—has set the precedent of the ‘e-commerce store’ business model.”
“Bonobos is the perfect fit for this highly desirable retail corridor, whose fashion quotient is on the rise,” said Bibi.
“We are very excited to have such an innovative and inspiring fashion tenant like Bonobos in our property. We strongly believe tenants like Bonobos are the future of retailing and will definitely be a great addition to Court Street and the surrounding neighborhoods” said Joseph hamway of Industrie Capital Partners.
