Brian Segall joined RKF in 2007 and is now a Senior Managing Director in the firm’s New York office. He specializes in investment opportunities primarily in the greater New York City area as well as select urban markets. Working closely with the RKF leasing team, Brian is active in retail-driven assets with an in-depth of knowledge of market trends. He is active in generating exclusive listings, and specializes in marketing properties to prospective buyers while working closely with owners to successfully complete transactions. Since joining RKF, Brian has completed over $600 million in investment sales transactions.
Brian’s recent transactions include the blockbuster sale of the corner property at 1151 Third Avenue for $27 million on behalf of Acadia Realty Trust and the retail condominiums at 339 Greenwich Street, and 241 Fifth Avenue for $11.72 million and $10.7 million, respectively.
Prior to these deals, Brian arranged several sales in SoHo including the $61 million sale of 434 Broadway; the $18.75 million sale of the mixed-use property at 497 Broome Street; the $15.9 million sale of a retail co-op at 138 Greene Street; and the $48.5 million sale of 18,850-SF building at 138 Spring Street. He has been instrumental in the transformation of the Bowery and NoHo neighborhoods where he represented buyers and/or sellers of the properties that include: 250 Bowery, 260 Bowery, 325 Bowery, 328 Bowery and most recently 347 Bowery, which sold for $20.3 million. Brian also arranged the $11 million sale of the retail condominium at 50 Bond Street and the sale of the retail co-op at 682 Broadway in NoHo.
Other notable sales include the $18 million sale of the 20,000-SF commercial condominium at 70-72 Reade Street in Tribeca; the $18 million sale of a mixed-use building at 1151 Third Avenue on the Upper East Side; and the $11.05 million sale of the retail condominium at 123 Third Avenue in the East Village. In the greater New York area, Brian arranged the $18.5 million sale of the 10,000-SF retail property at 197-205 Smith Street in Brooklyn; the $42 million sale of a 325,000-square-foot industrial property at 47-25 34th Street in Long Island City; and the $64 million sale of The Plaza at Harmon Meadow, a multi-building retail/office property in Secaucus, NJ. Brian also represented the buyer in the $21 million sale of 35 North State Street in Downtown Chicago to Old Navy.
Brian began his career in sales at Endai Worldwide, a digital media firm where he became a Division Vice President. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Emory University. He is a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the state of New York, a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Israeli Bonds Real Estate Division New Leadership Committee. Brian also is the Captain of the RKF REBNY league softball team.
