Robert Mackowski is an Associate Director with RKF. He joined the firm in 2011 as a Canvasser and was promoted to an Associate not long after. His focus is both landlord and tenant representation in Northern New Jersey.
Robert has worked extensively on behalf of regional and national, landlords including Urban Edge, The LeFrak Organization, BLDG Management, Toll Brothers City Living, Normandy Partners, Millcreek Residential, Ironstate Development Company and Maverick Management, among others. His tenant client roster includes names such as Panera Bread, Jimmy John’s, Insomnia Cookies, Bluestone Lane Coffee, Ample Hills Creamery, SLT Fitness and Cool Vines.
In Hoboken and Jersey City, alone, Robert has been responsible for arranging 28 leases totaling 90,000 SF and $52 million in value.
He was part of the leasing team that arranged 12,000 SF of leases at 110 First Street and 13,000 SF at The Morgan, both in Jersey on behalf of BLDG Management and Toll Brothers City Living, respectively. , Robert is currently representing LeFrak in marketing numerous properties in its portfolio. As part of the assignment, he arranged leases with four restaurant tenants – Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Los Cuernos, Menya Sandaime and Chef Tan. Robert has also represented numerous other entrepreneurial owners in Jersey City and Hoboken as their exclusive retail leasing agent. He also sold 99 Washington Street and 214 Washington Street, representing the buyers and sellers in both transactions.
Some of Robert’s recent tenant representation work includes representing SLT Fitness in a 1,975-SF lease at 1420 Willow Avenue in Hoboken, Surf Taco in a 2,000-SF lease at 301 North Harrison in Princeton and another 1,875-SF lease at The Yard in New Brunswick, and Jimmy John’s in a 1,054-SF lease at 96 Hudson Street in Hoboken and a 1,000-SF lease at 110 First Street.
Prior to joining RKF, Robert was a Salesperson with Atlantic & Pacific Real Estate in Princeton, NJ where he worked on rental and investment sales properties and successfully closed 15 sales in his first year. Concurrently, Robert founded Ziggy Properties LLC in Maywood, NJ where he invested in various properties, performing extensive due diligence on all prospective investments, managing all contractors, title agents, insurance agents and real estate agents and maintaining cash returns on all investments. Robert previously worked as a Research Associate and Economist at The Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) where he maintained a database of all New York City apartment, hotel and office construction and served as the primary contact to research and answer broker questions regarding zoning laws and potential building uses.
Robert earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Economics from Rutgers University. He is a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the state of New Jersey and a member of International Council of Shopping Centers.
