Robert Ury joined RKF’s Los Angeles office in June of 2011. He specializes in tenant and landlord representation and works with a variety of restaurants and hard and soft goods retailers.
Robert has worked with a number of notable tenants including Mendocino Farms Sandwich Market, Sweetgreen, Sephora, Adidas, Uniqlo, La Colombe Coffee Roasters, Oakley, Kriser’s Natural Pet, Buffalo Wild Wings, Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, J. Jill, Nothing Bundt Cakes, L’Occitane, OneWest Bank, Asics, Corepower Yoga, Flywheel Sports, Veggie Grill, Five Guys Burgers and Fries, Pei Wei Asian Diner, Blue C Sushi, Bareburger, Blaze Fast Fire’d Pizza and Beauty Collection. Robert’s landlord clientele has included Federal Realty Investment Trust, CIM Group, ASB Real Estate Investments, West Coast Investors and Simms Commercial Development, along with several individual landlords and family trusts. He has completed over 200 leasing transactions since joining RKF.
Some of Robert’s significant transactions include the negotiation of Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams’ 11,400-SF Beverly Hills Flagship store on North Beverly Drive, Oakley’s 3,000-SFSanta Monica flagship on Third Street Promenade, ULTA’s 11,746-SF-lease in Rancho Santa Margarita on behalf of Fortus Property Group and Urban Outfitters Surplus’ 8,700-SF lease in Sherman Oaks on behalf of West Coast Investors.
On behalf of Arcturus Group, Robert helped draw House of Blues out of Downtown Disney to a new 40,000-SF facility at Anaheim GardenWalk in Anaheim which opened in early 2017. While representing West Coast Investors in Sherman Oaks, Robert was instrumental in negotiating a 4,400-SF lease with Midici, a new modern Italian restaurant concept from Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, for its first ever location. Most recently, Robert secured leases with Knoll and Flexform for a combined 7,800 SF on North Robertson Boulevard on behalf of ASB Real Estate Investments and partners. The respective high-end furniture showrooms have helped to transform a key stretch of the iconic West Hollywood street.
Robert is currently involved in the execution of a Southern California expansion plan for leading fast casual concept Mendocino Farms Sandwich Market, spanning from Los Angeles to San Diego. He is also representing Sweetgreen as the hip East Coast brand extends its roots in Southern California, and has helped arrange seven leases in Los Angeles County to date. In similar fashion, Robert has worked in partnership with RKF colleagues nationally to bring Washington D.C.-based La Colombe Coffee Roasters to Los Angeles with three high-profile leases in Silverlake, Beverly Hills and Santa Monica. Robert and his partners have also secured four locations for Adidas North America, including a new flagship store on Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, and an Adidas Originals flagship on famed Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice. Robert and Robert Cohen, a Vice Chairman with the company, are exclusively representing prolific Japanese retailer Uniqlo across Southern California, focusing on street and power/lifestyle locations.
Robert has also represented The Flame Broiler in over 70 corporate and franchised leases throughout Southern California since 2009.
Prior to joining RKF, Robert was an Associate with California Commercial Partners, Inc. in Newport Beach, where he arranged more than 50 leases with an aggregate value of over $18 million.
Robert earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Real Estate Finance at the University of Southern California. He is a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the state of California and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
