Revolutionary E-commerce Furniture Brand to Open Its Second Brick and Mortar ‘Guideshop’ at 68 Greene Street
NEW YORK —RKF, the country’s leading independent real estate firm specializing in retail leasing, investment sales and consulting services, announced today that it has arranged a 2,600-square-foot lease for Interior Define at 68 Greene Street. The Chicago-based brand offers highly customizable furniture at an affordable price point. This will be Interior Define’s second location and its first ever in New York City.
RKF Senior Associate Justin Fantasia and The Retail Connection Vice President Bennett Bark represented Interior Define in the transaction. The landlord, L & L 68 Realty Co. LLC, was represented by Wilson Properties’ Marcelo Duek. The store will open May 15, 2017.
Interior Define will occupy 2,600 square feet on the ground floor of the mixed-use five-story building originally built in the late 1800s as a wool and textile factory and still has many of its original cast iron details. The retail space features excellent frontage, its own sidewalk platform and a large full ceiling skylight in the rear of the space. Retail neighbors include Patagonia, John Varvatos, Golden Goose, Veronica Beard, Burton, Saint Laurent, Kate Spade New York, IRO, Jonathan Adler and COS.
Located on the east block between Broome and Spring Street, 68 Greene Street is ideally situated on one of the hottest blocks in SoHo and home to some of the world’s most renowned fashion and specialty retail brands.
“Interior Define is revolutionizing the home furnishings industry in a major way, just like Casper did with mattresses, Bonobos with menswear and Warby Parker with eyeglasses. They wanted a brick and mortar space to use as a showroom for customer engagement and to showcase the brand in a unique way,” explained Fantasia. “By establishing their first New York store in SoHo, Interior Define will increase brand awareness and provide a location for current customers who shop online to come experience the brand and enjoy a first hand, personalized customer service experience in-store.”
Interior Define has a Guideshop at 833 West Armitage Avenue in Chicago’s Lincoln Park area, which also serves as the company headquarters.
The leading independent real estate firm in North America specializing in retail leasing, investment sales and consulting services, RKF serves a broad spectrum of domestic and global clients in services ranging from national tenant and owner representation to advisory, consulting and dispositions.
